Happy work anniversary to me! 🍻
I’m celebrating my first anniversary at Gaian Solutions and I cannot wait anymore to share my experience with Y’all.
I joined Infosys after my Bachelor’s and spent an Incredible 2 years working for a wonderful client. I started looking for a better, challenging and Innovation oriented opportunity. I already had two offers but wasn’t keen on joining them, Maybe I felt they don’t have what I’m actually looking for?
I updated my LinkedIn title to ‘Looking for the next big thing to work with’. One fine evening I got a message from a CEO saying ‘The next big thing is video! If you are interested in a role where you also get to enhance TV watching experiences as you innovate, let me know’. 1 year down the line, I’m celebrating my first anniversary with Gaian Solutions India Pvt Ltd. 🙌
I really liked the Technologies, Products they have/ working on already. Gaian got unique product line around TV Operating System, Digital Signage solutions, App Ecosystems, OTT platform, Targeting content/ad Serving platforms and a lot more to mention. I was impressed by everything and joined the team as a Javascript Engineer 👷🏻.
I was looking for a challenging opportunity to work but as a topping, I got wonderful mentorship and motivation from many incredible leaders at Gaian. I thought it was a regular HR-BS when HR mentioned it is more like a family at Gaian, but I was wrong. After one year and counting, I couldn’t agree more. I’m a part of a wonderful family who supports you professionally and personally, a family of self-driven achievers, an organization where an individual developer/contributor is directly mentored by the top management in the organization. The best and exciting part of working at Gaian for me was, I worked on more technologies and products in my first quarter than the 2 years at my previous job. Awesome right? 👾
I have been an Open source contributor forever now. To be frank I never thought someone at a workplace would support me in my personal interests. But it happened at Gaian, I have been a speaker at Voxxed Days Belgrade in Serbia, Mozfest inLondon and Mozilla Workweek in Austin, Texas(My Y’all comes from here) in the past one year. I recently participated in NAB Show, one of the largest show for Media, Entertainment and Technology in Las Vegas last April representing Gaian. ✈️ ✈️ ✈️
A thank you isn’t enough for all my wonderful mentors and leaders at Gaian. You all make me a better person than yesterday. (Chronological order, just being diplomatic 👾) Anil, Ashwini, Chaitanya, Chandu and Sai, I couldn’t be blessed with the way you all have been mentoring me from my Day 1. Glad to be working under wonderful managers like Krishna and Sudhakar. Every discussion/debate with Chandra (My CEO) has been a great learning for me, I’m glad I found a wonderful mentor early in my career.
After one year, I’m thrilled and excited to believe in Gaian’s Dream and I’m so glad for playing a tiny part in making it a reality. Currently, I’m working on Next Generation Broadcasting Platform(NGBP) at Gaian, partnering with Sinclair Broadcasting Group, owner of the largest number of TV stations in the USA and loving every challenge about it.
